Split a PDF
Keep the pages you list: one range gives a PDF, several give a ZIP of PDFs.
Free, no sign-up. Up to 20 files and 40 MB at a time; files are processed in memory and never kept.

Writing page ranges
List the pages to keep, separated by commas. 3 is one page, 1-3 is pages 1 to 3, 8- runs from page 8 to the end, and -3 means pages 1 to 3. Each range becomes its own PDF, named for its pages (pages-1-3.pdf); one range downloads as a PDF, several come back together in a ZIP.
To pull a single chapter out of a long document, enter just its range. To drop one page, say page 5 of 20, split it as 1-4, 6- and merge the two parts back together.
Which page is page 5?
Page numbers here count the pages of the file from the first one, whatever is printed on them. A report with a cover, a contents page and front matter numbered i to iv will have its printed page 1 somewhere around page 6 of the file. Open the PDF in any viewer and check the page counter in its toolbar before you type the ranges.
Splitting makes new files and leaves your original as it was, so you can try again with different ranges. Several ranges come back as separate PDFs; to put them into one file in a new order, merge the parts afterward in the order you want.
Keep the pages you list, like 1-3, 8-: one range gives a PDF, several give a ZIP of PDFs. No sign-up; files are never stored. The other PDF jobs (merge, split, compress, rotate, images to PDF and watermark) each have a page of their own.
How it works
- Add one PDF — Up to 1,000 pages.
- List the pages to keep — 3, 1-3, 8- or -3, separated by commas.
- Split — One range downloads as a PDF; several come as a ZIP, each file named for its pages.
Examples
- 1-3, 8- — Pages 1 to 3 and page 8 to the end, as two PDFs in a ZIP.
